Frequently asked questions
Answers for employers.
International recruitment raises legitimate questions: about recognition, language, timeline, costs and effort. Here you will find the most common answers, fact-based and without guarantees. Where law or authorities are involved, we refer to the competent bodies and are no substitute for advice in an individual case.
Recognition & qualifications
In Germany, physiotherapy may only be practised with a state professional licence to practise. The route to it follows a fixed pattern: the authority compares the foreign training with the German one (this is based on the professional act, the MPhG — the German Masseur and Physiotherapist Act). If the two are equivalent, the professional licence to practise can be granted. In the case of substantial differences, an adaptation measure follows: a knowledge examination or an adaptation course. We prepare the procedure and support you through it.
The decision is made by the competent recognition authority; this is not legal advice.
Before being introduced, every professional goes through a fixed pre-selection: we review the qualification, the professional accreditation, professional experience, specialisations, documents and the level of language. You receive a fully prepared profile and see only candidates whose qualification can be recognised. Whether official documents are genuine is checked by qualified people, not by software.
We recruit qualified physiotherapists from non-EU countries. We discuss the specific context of origin transparently in the initial consultation.
Language
The professionals reach German at CEFR level B2. This is the nationwide standard in Germany for the professional licence to practise in physiotherapy. Individual federal states may additionally require a specialist language examination; we clarify this for your location in advance. There is no general C1 requirement for physiotherapists (it applies only to certain academic healthcare professions such as doctors).
Visa & duration
This can only be answered responsibly on a case-by-case basis: the level of language, the recognition procedure and the visa determine the pace. The fast-track procedure for skilled workers under Section 81a of the German Residence Act (AufenthG) can significantly shorten the waiting time for the visa. We will give you a realistic timeframe for your specific case in the initial consultation.
Binding deadlines rest with the competent authorities, not with us.
You, as the employer, start the fast-track procedure for skilled workers under Section 81a of the German Residence Act (AufenthG), usually by power of attorney at the competent immigration authority (Ausländerbehörde). We prepare the documents, coordinate the appointments and guide you through every step. Your part stays small: initiating the procedure and contributing the declarations that only you can provide.
The procedure and the decision rest with the authorities; this is not legal advice.
We do not give guarantees for official decisions. That would be irresponsible. But we reduce the risk from the outset: we introduce only candidates whose qualification can be recognised, clarify the requirements early and keep you informed at every step. How we handle delays or withdrawals is set out openly and transparently within our cooperation.
Costs
The costs of recruitment are borne by you as the employer, not by the professional. This principle is called the Employer Pays Principle and is the foundation of fair, legally sound recruitment. What this means specifically for your position depends on the scope and the general conditions; we discuss this openly in the initial consultation.
For this reason, we do not publish flat-rate figures.
Cooperation & data protection
With a no-obligation initial consultation. Together we clarify your needs, the general conditions and a realistic route, honestly and without any sales pressure. You can reach us via the contact form, by email (c.hirschmann@one-flow.de) or WhatsApp (+49 174 8541386).
We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR: storage within the EU, encryption, and access only for the people who need it for their work. We request sensitive documents only when they are genuinely required in the procedure (the principle of data minimisation). You will find the details in our Privacy Policy.
Additional questions from employers
We handle the majority of the contact with the authorities. Two steps remain with you: initiating the fast-track procedure under Section 81a of the German Residence Act (AufenthG) (by power of attorney) and the employment contract. We prepare both as far as possible and support you throughout.
Yes. We align the scope and sequence with your needs and your capacity in the initial consultation. We deliberately rely on careful selection rather than volume.
We support the integration over the first months and remain your point of contact, so we can steer against problems early, before friction turns into a withdrawal. We define the precise scope of this support together.
